We all love to have a glass of wine when work is done - at lunch, at dinner, at party, with food, family, and friends. Wine is an acquired taste and everyone’s taste is different. On top of this fact, wine gives off hundreds of aroma compounds that deliver hundreds of unique smells: from cherry to old leather. So what are the best red wines to start your adventure into wine?

In this event, we will go through introduction of red wine, opening wine and wine service procedures, reading wine labels, learning different grapes names. Of course, the most exciting part is wine tasting as well as food & wine pairing.

Our wine lecturer, Pansy Chan, has over a decade of solid experiences in the hotel and restaurant industry; in particular the Food and Beverage operations management and the training of the hotel staff. She holds a Master of Science degree in Hotel and Food Service Management from the Florida International University, USA and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the City University of New York, USA. 

Pansy was a former Training Director at The Venetian, Macau, and former Training Manager at Intercontinental Hong Kong. She is now a lecturer at a few major universities in Hong Kong.
